THE STUDIO

For years, Leticia de las Bárcenas worked in the world of finance: a precise, demanding and highly structured environment. Yet her true passion had always been elsewhere — in the countryside, among plants and in the landscape.

With time, she began to dedicate more and more of her time, and eventually her work, to what had always drawn her in: the garden understood as part of the wider landscape. This led to the creation of her landscape design studio in 2022, where she develops projects in which the garden does not impose itself on its surroundings, but instead engages in a dialogue with it.

Her work pays particular attention to the balance between architecture and nature, the selection of species, and the way a garden evolves over time. The aim is not to create an artificial setting, but to shape a living space that becomes part of the landscape and of the everyday life of those who inhabit it.

The studio develops landscape projects for private gardens, country estates and corporate spaces, always taking a bespoke approach and placing a high level of attention on both design and execution.

The result is a collection of serene, balanced and enduring gardens — spaces where the studio’s intervention takes a step back, allowing nature to take centre stage.
